Student Broadcasting

SUNY Adirondack operates 92.7 WGFR, the College’s FM radio station. WGFR also streams online at wgfr.org.  Students broadcast alternative music, entertainment news, sports, and public service announcements to surrounding communities. A five-week DJ training program is held at the start of each semester. The training program is free and open to all enrolled SUNY Adirondack students.

Adirondack Broadcast Association (ABA) is an official student club sponsored by the SUNY Adirondack Student Association.  ABA partners with WGFR to promote campus events such as College Radio Day, Vinylthon, comedy shows and dance parties.  ABA provides broadcast industry-related trips to local radio and television stations and the IBS College Radio Conference in New York City. Membership in ABA is open to all SUNY Adirondack students regardless of major.
