Repeated Courses

Courses may be repeated for credit.  The highest grade will be calculated in the GPA.  A course in which a grade of W or X was received during a previous registration is not considered a repeat.

Individuals who receive an unsuccessful grade at SUNY Adirondack may repeat the course at another institution.  When the transfer grade of C or better is received by the College, the course will be counted for credit only and the credits, grade, and quality points, if any, of the initial registration in the course will be excluded from the GPA.  Students need to be aware that repeating a passed course may have financial aid consequences and they should consult with the Financial Aid Office.

Individuals who are attempting to repeat an developmental/introductory general education course for the third time may be required to meet with an advisor and/or may have prescribed course schedules to promote student success.
