SUNY Adirondack offers a two-year Liberal Associate in Art (AA) degree in Humanities and Social Science with a concentration in Adolescence Education-English. This concentration prepares students for an eventual career in an English education or English-related field. The course sequence meets the requirements for the Humanities and Social Science English concentration, while incorporating additional introductory teacher-preparation courses. Recommended high school teaching preparation: Four years of English, three years of social studies, two years of science and two years of math, preferably college preparatory mathematics.
